Heres to my last year in my 30’s… I say it every year, I love and appreciate my birthday every year as I have gotten older having been humbled by the fragility of life and how things can change in an instant. 10 years ago this month I lost my precious boy (he did not experience this life but I know he is safe in the next) and so the message in this post is live your life, embrace the madness, book the night away/ the holiday, chase the dream and learn from both the good and the bad ❤️🙏 Lots of love and hugs to you all x Donna 💙🙏

Hi Everyone, I am so excited to be joining the incredible @beth_nielsen_chapman as her special guest on 2 dates here in the North of Ireland as part of her UK tour. I will be joining Beth on 5th September - Ardhowen Theatre Enniskillen 6th September- Roe Valley Arts Limavady I will be singing songs we have written together over the last few years and hoping you will come see us ❤️🙏

Hi Everyone, I have been quiet on here lately but thats nothing new 🙋‍♀️🥰 Just wanted to say hello! I have spent most of the evening going through old pictures! This was 5 years ago and my babies are now all at school … It feels like yesterday this photo was taken and has made me both happy and sad to look back and see how they have grown and how we as a family are now at a different stage xx Although I have been quiet on the career front, life this past few years has given me plenty to write about and so I have been putting all the highs and lows into songs! Songwriting has proven to be an incredibly healing outlet whereby I can put into a song what I am often unable to say and feel lighter afterwards x I hope each of you have your own outlet and a way of releasing and making sense of life’s ups and downs whatever that may be! It’s so important to have something for yourself that fills you up and makes you feel good! Hope you are all keeping well 💕 All my love Donna xx

I am back home on Irish soil again after a week lo

I am back home on Irish soil again after a week long songwriting retreat in Lubbock Texas (Hometown of the legendary Buddy Holly) made possible by the wonderful @buddyhollyfoundation @buddyhollyretreat @lepaa_lbk To come together with an incredibly talented group of writers from both sides of the Atlantic and all walks of life was one of the most beautiful, memorable and sacred experiences I have ever had!!! Hi Everyone, this week I have the privilege of being in Buddy Hollys hometown of Lubbock Texas as part of an annual Buddy Holly Songwriting retreat with an amazing group of creatives. For four days we will be writing songs then performing them this Friday 22nd September @buddyhollyhall Crickets Theatre. Hi Everyone, it has taken me a long time (9 years

Hi Everyone, it has taken me a long time (9 years to be exact) to talk openly and vulnerably about my own experience of loss. On 7th August 2014 I gave birth to my son Micheal who was born sleeping. When @malachicushmusic first asked me to be part of this new series ‘Healing Sounds’ were guests talk about their most painful experiences and the music that accompanied them on their path to healing, my reaction was to immediately say ‘No, I can’t do that’. I never thought I could or would be able to talk about this but I did and I feel relief for doing so. The interview airs on RTE Radio 1 tomorrow night at 10am. Thank you @malachicushmusic for your sensitivity and understanding during this interview. All my love Donna xx

It breaks my heart to see our children hurting as

It breaks my heart to see our children hurting as a result of not seeing their uniqueness and all the pressures that comes with trying to find their way and fit in in a world which is all to often superficial, intolerant and cruel. I wrote this song with my own children in mind (I do that a lot given its the season of life I am in as a young mother). This week the lyrics of this beautiful song i wrote with @jamiefloyd and @rachelthibodeaumusic really hit home and so i found myself playing it tonight and wanting to share a verse and chorus x Sending the biggest hugs to all of you who are hurting and doubting your beauty and place in this 🌎 Please however hard it gets ‘Don’t stop there’ 💔 Donna x
